A serious incident has occurred in the capital. A police officer has ended his life in Tirana, committing suicide with his service weapon.

The 34-year-old officer served at the traffic police station in the capital, while investigations have begun to uncover the full circumstances of the incident.

Notifying the police;

On 14.06.2026, at around 01:25, in Fresk, in an apartment, it is suspected that citizen IS, 30 years old, a police officer, committed suicide with his service weapon.

The investigative group, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the case.
