The 10th day of the oil workers' strike in Marinza began with a rally in front of the offices of the Bankers Petroleum company, where they held banners and expressed their determination to go all the way to meeting their demands. According to the head of the Hydrocarbon Sector Union, Dritan Shahu, during this rally, company representatives photographed and filmed the employees, a form of pressure that they have used as a tactic during previous rallies.
Meanwhile, the health condition of the 10 members of the union council who are on the 10th day of their indefinite hunger strike is deteriorating day by day. Sotiraq Dano and Dorjan Dylmishi claim that they are determined to risk their lives, so as not to retreat from their cause, while expressing regret that the oil field is without their supervision.
"Engineers, but miserable." That's what we are, say young engineers Valter Nukaj and Arti Barjami, who have not received a salary increase for years. The Prime Minister says there are jobs, but not professionals. Here we are, let them evaluate us, they say in unison.
And while the company does not offer any concrete solutions, the oil workers still have no response from either Prime Minister Rama or the relevant Ministry.
