Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati warns of a major change in global balances and relations between the United States and Europe.

In an analysis of international developments, Bushati, during a meeting in Shkodra, said that transatlantic relations are going through a difficult period and that Europe is no longer the top priority for the US, describing it as a soft divorce.

In his analysis of the global situation, the former chief diplomat warns that tensions between the great powers could escalate and bring serious consequences for international security and that the US is simply moving towards the manifestation of power and this has its own risks. According to him, Europe is far from countries like the US or China in terms of technology and some other fields, while the old continent will also have the greatest consequences of the war in Iran, including Albania.

Asked about the secret request that was made public regarding Albania and Serbia's request in Brussels to join the EU with conditions, Bushati expressed criticism, saying that these two countries in the region are not compatible with the prevailing EU model and that they do not meet two main criteria: free elections and the rule of law.

Regarding political developments in the country, the main problem remains the functioning of democracy and election standards, stated former Minister Bushati, attacking Prime Minister Rama.

Ditmir Bushati held this conversation at the Arka youth center in Shkodra, where years ago he served as the political leader of the Socialist Party, as he spoke on the topic "Leadership in uncertain times."
