In the letter published by Il Secolo XIX, he expresses the pain and deep reflection that this loss has brought him.

"In life, nothing is certain. We are used to the presence of people and forget the value of small things, a smile, a phone call, a laugh for no reason. Then the absence comes and you realize how important they were," he writes.

He emphasizes that this tragedy has taught him to appreciate the present more and not to postpone the things that bring happiness.

“We must live without waiting for the perfect moment. We must have the courage to love more, to say what we feel, to hug the people we love more tightly, and to savor every moment, even the ones that seem ordinary.”

Colombo also writes that life is fragile and precious, and that it should be lived with sincerity and heart, creating memories and not postponing love for later.

At the end of the letter, he emphasizes that love is the meaning of life and that "there is no such thing as lost love," concluding that Giorgia and her mother represent happiness for him.
