Myrto Uzuni and Enea Mihaj have literally "found America". The two Albanian national team players have landed in MLS since last year and, in addition to playing in a championship that is gaining more and more popularity and viewership, they are also being rewarded with huge amounts there. This is confirmed by the payments that both players have received according to official data published in the USA.
The highest paid player is undoubtedly Myrto Uzuni. The Austin forward has a base salary of $1,6 million in 2026, while he has a minimum guaranteed salary of $2,3 million from his club until the end of the season, with the figure likely to increase with bonuses and other achievements. This is an increase compared to the figures of a year ago, where his base salary was just over $1,5 million and his guaranteed salary was $2,22 million.
Enea Mihaj is also paid a significant amount at Atlanta United. For 2026, his base salary is $1,21 million with $1,55 million guaranteed at the end of the season. He also received an increase compared to the previous year, when his base salary was $1,03 million and his guaranteed earnings were $1,37 million.
In addition to them, the talented youngster Adri Mehmeti is also active in MLS this year, having become part of the New York Red Bulls first team. The salary he receives has also been published for the young midfielder. For him, the base salary for the year is a little more than 113 thousand dollars, with about 159 thousand dollars guaranteed until the end of the season. But for the 17-year-old boy, it is certain that this figure will increase significantly in the coming years, if he continues to perform as he has done in these first weeks of the season in MLS.
