Margarita Xhepa's latest film, "Death Waits" directed by Edmon Topi, was screened in Tirana as part of the Dea Film Festival.

While the events take place in an asylum, the film seeks to turn its attention away from the third age.

“No matter how things go, you must not interrupt it”! The majestic portrait of Margarita Xhepa,. Appears on the big screen, while her voice, powerful and sad at the same time, is heard echoing near the University of the Arts. The scene belongs to her latest film, “Death Let It Wait”.

In it, she seems to leave her final messages before taking the irreversible path to the next life. Because in fact, death did not wait and she never saw her last film. With Tinka Kurti and Reshat Arbana appearing alongside her, it also marks the last collaboration of a generation of actors who were lucky enough to be the first in many things, while the big screen will forever preserve their memory.

The film was screened at the opening of the DEA FILM FESTIVAL, while director Edmond Topi dedicated it to his team with whom he produces the festival and the film, also honoring the well-known names of the actors who perform in the film.

A product of committed art, the film "Death Waits" indirectly brings a short history of transition, the rise and fall of art stars, elements of social degradation, the chaos of the state, pyramids and major social problems, treated through the humor of a caste of actors who, while living in asylum, make art and fight the phenomena of a state that behaves like a modern one, but is barely able to stand on its feet.

While aiming to turn attention to the elderly, by setting the events in an asylum, the film pays homage to artists who are no longer alive, or to those who live by following the fate of the film's characters.
