The Ministry of Defense informs that during the last 24 hours (from 09:00 on September 8 to 09:00 on September 9, 2026), a total of 43 fires have been reported, of which 13 remain active, 8 are under surveillance and 22 have been extinguished.

697 national and local operational forces and 68 firefighting vehicles were engaged in the operations, while the Armed Forces supported with 314 personnel, 8 firefighting vehicles, 1 fire truck, 29 vehicles, 5 ambulances and 1 drone. 4 helicopter operations were also carried out.

For today, the continued engagement of approximately 252 military forces, 28 vehicles, 2 ambulances and 1 drone is expected.

TIRANA DISTRICT: In Dajti Mountain, the fire continues to be active in the beech forest and bushes, but without danger to residential areas. Yesterday, 25 firefighters, 7 ADZM forces, 55 AF personnel and 1 helicopter were deployed; today, about 50 military forces are joining the operation. The fires in Kryezi, Bërzhitës Mountain and Mali me Gropa are under surveillance.

DIBċR DISTRICT: The outbreaks in Vajkal in Bulqizës, Lundre–Madhesh in Mat, Qafën e Helmes and Cerrujë–Mali i Allushit in Klos remain active. In Lundre–Madhesh, the operation is also supported by the Armed Forces and around 30 military forces will be deployed today. There is no risk to inhabited areas for the reported active outbreaks.

LEZHA DISTRICT: The hotbed in Gallatë i Kurbinit continues to be active in difficult terrain, but without danger to homes. The most significant is the engagement in Kalivaç–Zimaj–Kashnjet, where around 100 local and volunteer forces, 124 members of the Albanian Armed Forces, 16 vehicles, 2 ambulances and 1 helicopter operated yesterday. Today, operations will continue with around 50 military forces. Currently, there are no reports of residential areas at risk.

SHKODËR REGION: The hotbed above Ludric and Shopel in Fushë-Arrëz is being kept under surveillance. Mnelë e Vogël, Bardhaj–Myselim and Mali i Tërbunit remain active. In Mnelë e Vogël, 2 houses in danger have been reported, which are being protected by firefighting forces; yesterday the operation was also supported by 27 military forces, 3 firefighting vehicles, 1 motor vehicle and 1 helicopter. In Bardhaj–Myselim and Tërbun there is no danger to residential areas. Today the FA will continue its support with around 80 personnel in total in these three hotbeds.

ELBASAN, VLORA AND FIER DISTRICT: In Elbasan, the fire in Gurëshpatë of Librazhd continues to be active, with no danger to homes, while Mali i Qukës is under surveillance. In Vlora, the fire in Qesarat–Mali i Malinës, Finiq, remains active and 1 helicopter has also intervened, with no danger to residential areas. In Fier, Peshtani is kept under surveillance, while the fire in Çërrilë of Mallakastra is active and will be supported today by around 30 military forces.

The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) continues to continuously monitor the situation throughout the country, in close coordination with prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the Civil Protection system. Operational capacities remain engaged in the field and ready to intervene where the situation requires, with priority given to the protection of citizens' lives, homes and property.
