A powerful fire source was identified in the late hours of this Friday on the Koshnica mountain, in the Skënderbegës Administrative Unit, part of the Gramsh Municipality.

According to preliminary information, the fire has spread to a deep mountainous area, making it impossible for firefighting vehicles to intervene due to the extremely difficult terrain and lack of road access.

Fortunately, so far, the fire is far from residential areas and does not pose a direct threat to residents. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent the flames from spreading to wider areas.

Official sources indicate that the fire is suspected to have been accidental, while a more complete assessment of the situation is expected from the relevant structures in the future.

Meanwhile, the possibility of air intervention is not ruled out if the situation worsens, due to the impossibility of intervention from the ground.
