Activist and educator Ilir Pecnikaj has commented on the use of offensive language in Parliament and the treatment of women in institutions. According to him, March 8 should be celebrated every day, promoting coexistence and equality. Pecnikaj emphasizes that the use of force to defeat an opponent is a violation of human norms and instincts, criticizing the action of MP Taulant Balla towards Albana Vokshi.
Pecnikaj emphasizes that the problem is not only the individual, but the way in which representatives in parliament are selected, citing the case of Zegjine Çaushi and the influence of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the formation of the parliamentary group. He told the show 'News24 Weekend' that this denigrating behavior of politicians undermines the institution and distances citizens from politics.
According to Pecnikaj, youth today are more social and free, and do not tolerate offensive language, adding that respect for certain rules and living in community are necessary for a healthy society. He also criticizes the way the media reported and exposed citizens in the middle of the night, linking this to the lack of responsibility of some politicians and the need for a policy that makes the country more livable.
"March 8 should be a daily holiday, so that there is an equal coexistence. Animals use force to defeat their opponent. When force is used, you have entered animal instincts. We cannot victimize Albana Vokshi, as she is dignified and strong, but the humility shown by Taulant Balla, who was pushed against the wall and by his own party, did not know how to get out of this path. The most insulted and insulting person for me is Taulant Balla. It is a waste of time to give importance to Taulant. The phenomenon is not Taulant, but his selector.
Why was what Zegjineja did so little?! This Albanian parliament, this group, was not chosen without purpose by Edi Rama. They forced a respected doctor to resign and took Zegjineja, because they want these kinds of people. The cabinet of ministers must originate from the Parliament! Who is a socialist in that government? This is demonization of the institution.
Youth today is freer, more social with each other. Those who see such derogatory language, such as that of fathers, react. Such a father or such a mother does not accept to go out in public. Because this is hooligan behavior. Living in a community forces you to respect certain rules. You know very well what happened to News24 or with the residents, who were taken out of their homes in the middle of the night. That's why the Balluku issue no longer surprises us, and that's why citizens don't want to be part of politics. But we need this politics for a future, to make this country more livable," he said.
