The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a media appearance was asked about the changes in the DP statute, with Article 8, referred to as the 'Basha Article' or the 'death' of Rithekemi if he re-runs for leader of this party.

He accused Basha of not caring about the elections, but about forming a coalition with Rama.
