Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has stated that the vote counting process has not yet been completed, emphasizing that the final results will enable the start of discussions on the next political steps.

"We are still waiting for the vote count. The votes are still coming in and being counted. Upon the conclusion of the vote count, we will be able to start talking about the next steps. You must bear in mind what is evident again, that the Vetëvendosje Movement is the undisputed winner together with our pre-election coalition partners. We will be the bearers of the establishment of the institutions of the 11th legislature," he declared.

Kurti also expressed optimism about the process of constituting the Assembly and forming the new Government. “I am optimistic that things will go well both in terms of constituting the Assembly and in terms of forming the Government,” he said. Speaking about the election of the new president, Kurti emphasized that this process requires cooperation with opposition parties, due to the constitutional requirements for securing the necessary votes.

"Regarding the election of the president, you know that this must be done in cooperation with the opposition because of that request of a Constitutional Court ruling more than a decade ago, which requires 80 deputies to have their votes secret in the box. We are ready, we are willing, we are interested in communication and cooperation, but this is nothing new on our part," he added.
