Citizens have also "taken control" of the concert of American rapper Kanye West, transforming the event for a few moments into a continuation of the protest that has been taking place in Tirana for 43 days, demanding the removal of Edi Rama's government.

Among the thousands of young people present at the concert, "Rama resigns", already considered the "anthem of the summer of 2026", was heard. The cheers, which are heard every evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office, were repeated during the concert, while footage published on social networks shows the moment when the crowd joins in the chorus of calls against the prime minister.

The concert has been accompanied by controversy since its organization was announced, after the government decided to finance it with 4 million euros from the state reserve fund, a decision that has caused widespread criticism for the use of public money for a private activity.

Meanwhile, the civic protest has entered its 43rd day, becoming one of the longest mobilizations in recent years. Even last evening, after the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office, protesters marched through the streets of Tirana.
