Hundreds of young people, accompanied by their pets, gathered this Sunday at the Artificial Lake Park to take part in the "Four-Legged Friends Marathon", an activity that combines entertainment with a social cause.
Conceived to unite the animal-loving community, the marathon's main goal was to help homeless animals. Organizer Endrit Cela announced that the proceeds raised by participants will be used to support shelters and provide food for animals without family care.
According to him, the initiative was born from passion and the desire to contribute concretely to animals in need, which often end up abandoned on the streets or in shelters maintained thanks to volunteer work. The activity also attracted foreign participants, both tourists who happened to be in the area, and residents of Albania informed through social networks.
With a 3-kilometer route, the marathon took place in the park, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere. In addition to the race, participants enjoyed a day of relaxation in nature, accompanied by music and activities, turning this Sunday into a celebration for people and their four-legged friends.
