The President of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, arrived in Himara today to participate in the presentation of the candidates of the opposition coalition PD-ASHM in this city as part of the campaign for the May 11 elections.

Berisha appeared accompanied by Fredi Beleri, the former DP candidate for the municipality of Himara in the local elections two years ago, but was arrested for vote buying.

Beleri then ran for MEP in the European Parliament elections under the banner of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' party and secured a seat.

Along with Berisha was the other former candidate for the Himara elections, Petro Gjikuria, as well as the leader of the PBDNJ, Vangjel Dule.
