The Director of the Communications Office of the Democratic Party, Alfred Lela, invited to "News24 Weekend" with Megi Latif, spoke about the elections being held today for the new leader of the Democratic Party and the lack of competition, as the only name on the ballot is Sali Berisha.

"The process so far is going very well, it was not expected otherwise in fact. We know that the announcement and commitment have been complete and we hope that the reaction of the democratic mass will be the same, because this is an opportunity to reconfirm the conclusion of a long battle with the government and Berisha who led this battle for survival. In the process, not only the Democratic Party but also the opposition was saved," he said.

Lela did not spare any jokes, saying that the lack of other candidates against Berisha is because no one can run against a "big team."

"Imagine a race between Berisha and unknown people. The referendum for the leader of the DP should be something serious."
