Florenc Drizari, former Panorama journalist, has reacted with concern and solidarity regarding the sudden closure of News 24 television, considering it very bad news for the media industry and its employees. He expresses full support for the journalists and employees affected by this decision, emphasizing that they do not deserve this stress and financial uncertainty.

For Driza, the situation is unimaginable in a country like Sweden, where he lives, where wage delays, unsecured contracts, or institutions that turn a blind eye to such violations cannot exist in the media sector.

He publicly reminds Albanian institutions and authorities that they must be responsible for protecting the rights of media workers, and states that no journalist deserves to go through this kind of uncertainty.

I consider working as a journalist at the Panorama newspaper – Panorama Online/Panorama Sport Online (2014 – 2016) a valuable professional experience and a privilege to have been invited several times to the screen. News24 for topics mainly related to media/information. And yesterday's closing of Television News24 This is very bad news.

I fully support the affected journalists and employees and hope that the parties find a solution. They certainly do not deserve this stress, lack of work and completely unexpected lack of financial security.

This situation would be inconceivable here in Sweden, for example.

Why?

In Sweden, there would be no institutions that are silent; there would be no prime minister who speaks every day about everything and remains silent when one or several media outlets in the country are closed.

I hope that the justice institutions give the media the importance it deserves as the fourth power that it is and should be in Albania.

Media workers don't deserve this.

I stand in solidarity with journalists and anyone who supports their cause.
