Albanian journalism lost one of its most dedicated voices. The journalist News24Enrik Mehmeti tragically passed away this Saturday evening after an accident in the Zvërnec area, leaving behind a huge void among his colleagues, friends and the public that followed him for years.

For more than 20 years, Enrik Mehmeti dedicated his life to field journalism. He was among those reporters who sought out the news where it happened, bringing information to the public with professionalism, speed, and responsibility.

He built his career through hard work, covering events in the Vlora region for years. His reports for News24, BalkanWeb and Gazeta Shqiptare became a reliable source of information for thousands of citizens. From daily news to the most important developments in the south of the country, Enriku was always on the scene, with camera and microphone in hand, seeing journalism as a mission and not simply a profession.

Enrik Mehmeti was one of the most active field reporters.

Colleagues recognized him as a correct, calm, cooperative, and dedicated journalist, who never spared any effort to verify the facts and bring them professionally to the public.

Dedication, integrity, and passion for the news were the traits that accompanied him throughout his career.

His untimely departure is a great loss not only for his family and relatives, but also for the community of Albanian journalists.

Enrik Mehmeti will be remembered as a field reporter who lived with the rhythm of the news, serving the public with honesty, responsibility and dignity for more than two decades.

His memory and contribution will remain part of the history of Albanian journalism!
