The trial of Franc Çopjan, also known as Franc Gergely, is underway in Belgium. Franc Çopjan's partner has testified in the trial being held against the latter.
In her testimony given via video conference, she described him as a loyal man who was never aggressive.
"He is a loyal man, never aggressive. He never raised his voice in front of anyone," she said, writes La Libre.
She further stated that she was not aware of any criminal activity. Earlier, another witness had stated that she knew the two families, Alibej and Çopja, who she stressed have been in a clan war since at least December 2018.
Franc Çopja is accused of being the main mastermind and organizer of the premeditated murder of Ardit Spahiu, a member of a rival Albanian gang, shot dead in Molenbeek, Brussels in November 2020.
