The operation codenamed "Members" continues, conducted about a month ago, to crack down on a criminal group that sold firearms in Tirana.

As a result of the investigations and operational work, another member of the group was identified, captured and put in handcuffs. During the operation, the Police arrested 2 members of the group and seized 2 pistols with ammunition. As a result of intensive investigative and police actions, carried out within the framework of the operation coded “Members”, conducted on December 17, 2025, by the services of the Police Commissariat No. 5, in coordination with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, citizen AC, 31 years old, resident of Kamëz, was detained.

The Tirana Court has assigned this citizen the security measure of “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense of “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”, committed in collaboration. The investigations have resulted in the fact that citizen AC, together with citizens BJ and Xh. Sh. (arrested during the operation), was selling firearms in Tirana. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
