As Cortina d'Ampezzo prepares for the 2026 Winter Olympics, luxury has not left pets behind. An unusual gastronomic activity has attracted attention: a gourmet menu for dogs, with prices ranging up to 120 euros. According to owner Andrea Orecchioni, the idea came from loyal customers themselves: "They suggested it to us themselves. The dogs receive personalized bowls and the chef chooses for them fresh food, prepared on the spot."
The menu includes beef burgers, fish and couscous decorated with gold leaf, while prices range from 80 to 120 euros. This luxury service is not for everyone, but for owners who do not skimp when it comes to their animals.
The phenomenon of pampering dogs has also attracted criticism. Trainer Marco Picariello emphasizes: “Dogs have no interest in enjoying gourmet food. What they need is quality food. For them, it makes no difference whether it is a slice of bread or a sheet of gold.” The 2026 Winter Olympics will start on February 6, and in the meantime, Cortina seems ready to welcome visitors and… their luxury dogs.
