The Durrës Police have finalized the operation codenamed “Wanted 37”, locating and arresting a citizen declared internationally wanted by the Italian authorities. In the framework of the information and operational cooperation with counterparts in Italy, through Interpol Tirana, specialists of the Section for Operational Support of Investigation have located in the neighborhood no. 17/1 of Durrës and have arrested for extradition purposes the citizen Kastriot Dyrmishi, alias Kastriot Dermishi, 43 years old.

Dyrmishi was declared an international wanted person after the Court of Appeal in Florence, Italy, sentenced him to 14 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking".

According to authorities, the 43-year-old has 12 years, 9 months and 24 days of imprisonment left to serve from the sentence given.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Italian authorities, is continuing the procedures for his extradition to Italy.
