The State Police has arrested in Tirana a citizen declared internationally wanted by the Italian authorities, as part of the operation codenamed "The Wanted".
As a result of the exchange of information and coordination with Italian counterparts, through Interpol Tirana specialists, the provisional arrest for the purpose of extradition to Italy of citizen Bledar Barsan, 32 years old, was made possible.
According to the Police, the Court of Ancona has sentenced the 32-year-old to 8 years, 11 months and 10 days in prison for the criminal offenses of injury, resisting a police officer and theft, according to Italian criminal legislation. After the arrest in Tirana, the Albanian authorities have initiated procedures for his extradition to Italian justice. Meanwhile, Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Interpol Rome to finalize the extradition procedures of the 32-year-old to Italy.

Following the exchange of information and coordination of operational actions with Italian counterparts, through specialists from Interpol Tirana, carried out within the framework of the coded operation "The Wanted", specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector carried out actions for the provisional arrest, with the aim of extradition to Italy, of the internationally wanted citizen, Bledar Barsan, 32 years old.
The Ancona Court has sentenced this citizen to 8 years, 11 months and 10 days in prison for wounding, resisting a police officer and theft, according to the provisions of Italian criminal law.
Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Interpol Rome to finalize the procedure for the extradition of this citizen to Italy.
