Former police officer Uljan Shpataraku was declared wanted a day ago after a fight that took place in Dhërmi. Where the latter got into a conflict with a waiter and the hotel administrator. After the conflict, it was reported that the waiter and the administrator had been threatened with death by Shpataraku.
"News24"brings the reaction of former official Uljan Shpataraku. In a long reaction, he states that he did not threaten anyone and that he did not draw a weapon during the incident, emphasizing that this, according to him, can be easily verified by law enforcement agencies. He admits that he insulted the hotel staff, asking for a public apology for this behavior.
Shpataraku criticizes the way in which, according to him, various State Police structures were engaged in locating and arresting him, mentioning the Border Directorate, the Vlora Local Police Directorate, the Operational Directorate of the DPPSH and the use of special IMSI Catcher interception structures.
According to the former police official, the authorities' reaction was disproportionate to the event, adding that the priority should be serious crimes, murders and road accidents.

"Amazed" by the operational, procedural and "legal" actions carried out in record time by my colleagues, under the direction of the local director of the Vlora Police, Edvin Ndreu, and, of course, under the "rigorous" management of the General Director, Mr. Hita, regarding a social incident that happened to me in one of the southern hotels, where due to the unprofessional and insulting service of a staff member towards me, the "client", even though an expression says: "The client is always right", we got into an insulting debate between each other.
I want to emphasize that, absolutely, I have not threatened anyone's life and I have not done so by pulling out a gun. This is easily verified by the police. Yes, I insulted him, as I felt insulted first and, for this, I still publicly apologize to the staff.
But for several state structures to be set up at the same time, such as the Border Directorate, the Vlora Local Police Directorate, the Operational Directorate of the DPPSH, as well as special IMSI Catcher interception structures, with the aim of locating and arresting me, just because I offended the staff of a business, I believe this has nothing to do with the "criminal offense" itself, which I did not even commit.
In this way, the State Police, today under the direction of the relevant leaders, must react to the murders that are occurring throughout the country, to the road accidents that have exceeded the figures of the first half of last year and to other criminal offenses that violate the life, health or property of fellow citizens, and not to an insult, which I believe that each of us, including the commentators who hide behind fake addresses and write every kind of insult against me and my family, has done or does almost every day, in one form or another.
When they are interested, they say that the service in Albanian tourism leaves much to be desired. But when a client, which in this case was me, emotionally charged, crosses the line and makes the mistake of insulting this service that leaves much to be desired, then he is crucified both by "my colleagues in the judiciary" and by the public.
No one puts themselves in my shoes for a moment. I am currently unemployed and support a family of six: my wife, three children and my mother. They were terrorized by the control of about 20 police officers, who are not guilty, because they are carrying out the orders of “rigorous leaders”, who order the escort, arrest and search of the apartment of a senior police officer. After all, I am a human being, like everyone else, regardless of my profession, and all this happened just because I insulted a member of staff of a business.
None of my "colleagues in the judiciary" take into account the service I have performed for 20 years, the missions abroad with international partners as a peacekeeper in Mosul, Iraq in 2004, my qualifications, or the results I have achieved.
I was the officer who arrested the crypto-currency Turk. I was in charge of the Elbasan district, where I took office after an election process accompanied by murders, and together with my team, we brought murders to zero within two years. We also conducted two election processes without any incidents in seven municipalities, as well as many other results, which, due to investigative secrecy, I cannot make public.
I wanted to speak several times, but I was on duty and wasn't allowed. Now that I'm unemployed, I chose to speak.
I believe that we all make mistakes. There is no one without mistakes. But before we judge and jump to conclusions, we need to put ourselves in the other person's shoes. I especially ask this of my colleagues, because none of them would feel good if what happened to me happened to them.
It clearly seems that we are dealing with emotional, vindictive orders, instigated by the "rigorous leaders" of the State Police. The reasons for these orders are known only to those who give them, and for this I am truly sorry.
Three days before the "event" I created, another event occurred, but this time it was real: the one with the machine gun from the yacht. However, no one was wanted and no one was arrested.
