The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, held a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Austria, Gerhard Karner. This meeting was held within the framework of participation in the “Europa Forum Wachau”.
During the talks, the two ministers discussed strengthening cooperation between Albania and Austria in the field of security, border management, the fight against organized crime, and coordination in the face of common European challenges.
In a reaction on social media, Lamallari praised the partnership with Austria as important for Albania's European path and for guaranteeing greater security for citizens.
"The partnership with Austria remains important on our path towards European integration and in ensuring greater security for our citizens," said the Minister of Interior.
Lamallari also emphasized that Albania is increasingly becoming a favorite destination for Austrian tourists and entrepreneurs who have chosen to invest in our country, underlining the growth of economic and human relations between the two countries.
