DP Chairman Sali Berisha has published on social media a photo of the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, which, as he claims, was taken in the prison cell where he is serving the remainder of his sentence.
In the footage, Dako is seen lying in bed and holding a mobile phone in his hand.
Berisha also writes that Vangjush Dako is in the cell in the company of a person named Ron Shqopa, whom Berisha accuses of being a drug trafficker.
After his health condition improved, the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, left the premises of Durrës Hospital on September 21 and was sent to his prison cell where he had 6 days left to serve of his sentence.
The appeal of the GJKKO on September 16 sentenced him to 2 years and 8 months in prison. Based on the calculation of the time of detention together with that of house arrest, Dako should have served 10 days in prison, 4 of which he spent in the hospital.
