Napoli have decided to "armor" Scott McTominay, initiating contacts for the renewal of the contract that sounds like a long-term pledge of loyalty. The club's aim is to extend the current term (2028) by at least one more year, with an option until 2030, guaranteeing the midfielder a significant salary increase compared to the 3 million euros net he currently benefits from.

Although there is still no official date for the decisive meeting, the Neapolitan leaders want to close the deal as soon as possible. The idea is to finalize everything before the summer and before the start of the World Cup, in order to secure one of the pillars of the team and avoid the interests of other clubs during the tournament. This is what "Il Mattino" writes. The Scot, who was declared the player of the last season in Serie A, continues to remain at the center of the project of the Neapolitan club, which does not want to lose him in any way.

The same situation regarding renewals at Roma's home. The future of the capital is closely linked to the issue of renewals of Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini. The capital club is working to restructure high salaries on the eve of next season.

As for Dybala, it seems the situation is clearer: he is willing to discuss a new contract with a lower salary, but with performance-related bonuses, just to stay in Roma.

The situation for captain Pellegrini is different, and more complex. After a return to form with 7 goals and 4 assists, to stay at Trigoria he must accept a significant salary reduction: the club aims to halve the 6 million net he currently earns.
