The draft resolution on European integration was approved with 114 votes in favor.

In an interview in "News24", Freedom Party MP Erisa Xhixho analyzed the integration negotiations process. During the studio interview, Xhixho said that integration is a national priority and that the opposition is very engaged in this process.

However, Xhixho highlighted a number of problems in the country, such as corruption, or even immunity for senior officials, referring here to the case of Belinda Balluku, where according to her, Parliament became her shield.

"For the European integration process, which is a national priority, the opposition's commitment has been maximum, the Freedom Party has also had its commitment. Undoubtedly, the debates today in Parliament were also about the latest resolution in the Foreign Affairs Committee. A fact-finding group saw the reality of the situation in Albania and in the report they have identified corruption, the fact that immunity against senior officials should be processed without delay in Parliament has been identified and here we refer to the case of the former deputy prime minister where Parliament turned into her shield", she said.

Also during the interview, he touched on the IBAR report, which he said could not be continued without going through the report in Brussels.

"The IBAR report is an interim report with the new enlargement methodology, we have group chapters. And the first group chapter that opens are fundamental issues of a state. The IBAR report analyzes whether our country has fulfilled them or not to date. So without passing this report to Brussels, it cannot continue further. The EU cannot violate its own values, when the report says there was use of public finances in elections, there is no real fight against corruption, mega affairs like AKSHI, the Llogara tunnel, the incinerator, etc. If the EU does not see total commitment in this fight, these are values ​​that the EU cannot negotiate", said Xixho.
