A shocking testimony has come live for News24 from the hotbed of clashes in the capital, where a 17-year-old has recounted the terrifying moment when he was hit in the neck with a rubber bullet by police forces.
In a direct statement to the journalist News24 Klevin Muka, the young man covered in injuries, emotionally confessed that he was in the front rows calling on the protesters to unite when he was shot at close range.
"I was in the front row, screaming for unity. They were separating us with tear gas and dividing us. I was screaming and they hit me with a rubber bullet not far away. I didn't notice it very well, I was dizzy at that moment. My sisters and brothers helped me in the protest, I was ready to die," the 17-year-old declared amidst the chaos.
The teenager further issued strong accusations against the actions of law enforcement and sent a strong message to Prime Minister Edi Rama, emphasizing that the popular revolt will not be stopped by violence.
"These are not police, these are against the people! There are no rubber bullets that kill us. Rama, you are finished, you have nowhere to go!" the injured young man said in revolt during the live broadcast.
