The war in the Middle East has entered its third week, with Lebanon facing a severe humanitarian crisis. The death toll is rising dramatically, reaching around 850 dead according to current estimates, while thousands have been injured or forced to flee their homes.
The situation for civilians is becoming increasingly difficult. The ongoing conflict has caused extensive damage to infrastructure and severely limited access to basic goods, worsening living conditions for many families. At the same time, efforts to provide assistance to the affected population are intensifying. As shown by footage broadcast by protothema.gr and the reporter sent to Lebanon, Marinos Aliferis, a humanitarian aid convoy has arrived in the city of Tyre after setting off on a mission from Sidon.
The initial collection and counting of the aid took place in Sidon, where the operation was also coordinated before the trucks left. The transport of the aid is taking place under strict security measures, with UN armored vehicles accompanying the convoy to ensure safe passage through areas considered dangerous. The mission aims to ensure that food, fuel and other essential supplies reach residents in need. The convoy is heading to Christian villages in southern Lebanon, where residents are facing severe shortages due to ongoing hostilities.
