On the 18th day of the massive protest that has gripped the capital, IT expert and activist Gent Progni gave a powerful speech to the crowd gathered on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard. Progni denounced the extraordinary pressures from state structures to stop the revolt, but expressed his conviction that the civic cause is now unstoppable.

The activist made an open call not to be divided by cyber or political attacks, simultaneously hitting both old sides of Albanian politics.

Progni stated that the fight being waged in the streets is against an organized criminal system and that the mechanisms of intimidation against them are failing.

"All state mechanisms are determined to intimidate us, to put pressure on us, but I am convinced that the police are with us, but they are oppressed by this regime. Here we are not against the honest administration that they are putting pressure on. Let them delete our social networks because we are not for followers! We are without parties, we are not for religion, we are undivided, we are together for one goal," he said.

In a moment that caused great cheers on the Boulevard, Progni called for the end of the transition era, demanding justice for the leaders of the two main political camps and calling for a new social model.

"Rama in prison, Berisha in prison! We need intellectuals of the pen who have courage, we are at war with an organized criminal system. We are for the family, for children without hormones. For a peaceful life, we are here for the truth that does not appear, we are for educated young people not to follow wrong examples. We are united until the end!" - said Progni.
