Two people suspected of threatening a television journalist have been identified and prosecuted News24 Osman Stafa, who reported that he was followed and stopped by a vehicle after documenting the extraction of inert materials in the Shkumbin River. The police announced that, following the journalist's report and the first investigative actions by the Elbasan Police, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, criminal proceedings have been registered for the offense of "Threat due to duty" against Renald Toli, 33, a resident of Tirana, and Ardjan Bici, 31, a resident of Librazhd, who turn out to be employees of a company.
On July 17, at around 14:00 PM, journalist Osman Stafa notified the Police that, while traveling on the Librazhd-Elbasan axis, he felt threatened by two people traveling in a vehicle.
He said the incident occurred shortly after he had documented on video the activity of an excavator extracting inert materials from the Shkumbin riverbed. In his report, Stafa stated that the vehicle followed him for about a kilometer and cut him off, forcing him to go to the police.
