One of the protesters who spoke during the anti-government rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office, on the 122nd day of the protest, called on citizens, especially young people, to join the protest.
She described the protesters as "heroes of modern times," while criticizing the attitude of young people who, according to her, are not taking to the streets.
"You are the heroes of modern times. When I come to Freedom Square, I feel like crying because young people are sitting under the cafe. How do you sit when you are in captivity?", said the protester.
Referring to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements about Albania, she said that citizens must react and called on young people to come out in protest.
"Rama says we are a small village, but the heads of the cooperative are stealing from us. Youth should come out," she said.
The protester also stated that in October, according to her, the boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office will be filled with protesters.
"This boulevard in October will turn into a large ocean where all criminals and thieves will drown," she declared.
At the end of her speech, the protester addressed the audience with patriotic verses, calling on Albanians for freedom.
"I greet you with a song:
'O brave warriors,
You sons of Skanderbeg,
You Albanians, look for it.
The freedom of the motherland.
Enough of captivity,
Oh poor Albania,
Boys, grab your rifles,
Here is death, here is freedom!'” she concluded.
