The suspected perpetrator of the murder of 20-year-old Joan Zuko in Korça has been arrested after several hours of searching. Police have managed to locate and arrest Kristjan Sterjo near his apartment, following intensive searches conducted in several areas of the city.
Sterjo, suspected of the murder of the 20-year-old who was a member of the Armed Forces, was escorted by police forces to the police station, as seen in the footage.
20-year-old Joan Zuko was killed after a conflict, while the suspected perpetrator immediately fled the scene.
After the crime, the Police and RENEA forces conducted searches in several areas, including the city cemetery, after witnesses stated that the perpetrator had headed to that area.
Earlier, Police forces and RENEA had also searched near Sterjo's apartment, but they had not found him there.
Meanwhile, the investigative group under the direction of the Prosecution continues its investigations to fully elucidate the circumstances and motive of the conflict that led to the murder of the 20-year-old, who was also part of the Armed Forces.
