The Criminal Court has sentenced Tomor Çela to 23 years in prison, accused of murdering two people during the events of 1997.
Çela was extradited from the United States to Albania on June 2, 2022, after a long period of residence abroad.
After extradition, he requested a retrial of the case, but the trial panel decided to uphold the same decision given earlier, confirming the maximum sentence pronounced against him.
