Kim Kardashian has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. In footage from the new season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," she goes for a scan. The 45-year-old appears to blame stress for her health condition.

Aneurysms are balloon-shaped swellings of blood vessels. They are common in the brain and are estimated to affect 1 in 50 people.

In many cases, patients don't know they may have one because it doesn't cause many symptoms.

If the size of a brain aneurysm increases, it causes headaches, loss of balance, and speech problems. In the case of a leak, they are very dangerous and even deadly.

Aneurysms can occur in any part of the body, but are most commonly found in the aorta, the main and largest artery of the heart.

According to studies, adults aged 30-60 are most affected and women predominate.

At another point in the segment, Kim declares that her ex-husband, Kanye West, will be a part of her life "no matter what" because they have four children together.
