The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech at the meeting of the DP National Council, issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that the developments of this summer have completely unmasked the functioning of what he called the "narcot".

Berisha denounced the management of the fires that swept the country during the summer months, claiming that civil emergency funds were used for concerts with the aim of extinguishing the protests. He underlined that in parallel with the fires, Socialist Party membership cards were also burned by its own members in Poliçan, Divjakë, Dimal and Tirana.

The opposition leader focused on the collapse of technological propaganda, mentioning the case of Ermal Beqiraj and the awarding of multi-million tenders even after investigations. He also commented on the arrest of businessman Ergys Agasi, whom he described as "the most dangerous mafia in Albania and Southeast Europe after the godfather Rama."

According to Berisha, this summer also melted the propaganda of the new justice, accusing the prime minister of control over SPAK. He mentioned the release from prison of former minister Ilir Beqaj, comparing it to the cases of Saimir Tahiri and Vangjush Dako, where according to him, no stolen money was returned to citizens.

In conclusion, the DP leader mentioned the “Albanian Files” file, where he called the 523 identified projects “523 reasons to put Rama in jail.” Berisha also warned that Albanians risk paying a 500 million euro fine due to the government’s unilateral interventions in the Vlora Airport project.
