The Albanian U-21 national team was defeated 1-0 by Italy U-21 in the second friendly match of June, held at the "Omero Tognon" stadium.
Coach Alban Bushi started the match with the following lineup: Simon Simoni (GK), Elton Fikaj, Ervin Bashi, Arlind Kurti, Zylyf Muça, Feta Fetai (C), Aidon Shehu, Burak Alili, Fabjan Pëndreca, Rrok Toma and Kevin Dodaj.
The Reds put in a good performance against a quality opponent and created several clear scoring chances. In the 19th minute, Albania came close to scoring with Rrok Toma, who headed the ball from inside the area, but the ball ended up over the crossbar.
Then it was Fabjan Pëndreca's turn to risk the Italian goal with a strong shot from distance, which went very close to the post.
The Red and Blacks continued to search for a goal in the second half. In the 60th minute, captain Feta Fetai tried from inside the area, but his attempt ended up outside the box.
Italy managed to find the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute with Calvani, who took advantage of one of the home team's chances to give his team the lead.
Albania U-21 did not give up and tried until the end of the match to restore the balance, but without managing to change the result, with the challenge ending with a minimal victory for Italy U-21.
