The U-21 National Team will play an international friendly match on March 27, 2026 against Japan U-21. The Albanian Football Federation has reached an agreement with the Japanese Football Federation for this match to be played in Antalya, Turkey, while the schedule and stadium where the match will take place will be announced in the coming days.

The Albanian Football Association is also continuing talks to secure another friendly match for the U-21 National Team during March. Until the 2027 U-21 European Championship, Shpresat will only be involved in friendly matches, as Albania has automatically qualified for this tournament as one of the host countries.

These friendly tests are of particular importance for coach Alban Bushi and the technical staff, offering the opportunity to closely assess the condition of the players, consolidate the group and test new elements in view of the 2027 U-21 European Championship.
