TIRANA With just a few months left until the 2019 local elections, the criteria for the procedures for selecting SP candidates for Municipal Councils are being published for the first time.
The journalist of 'News24' Ergys Gjencaj has provided for 'BalkanWeb' the criteria on which this selection will be made.
The materials in question have been distributed to members of the Socialist Party's National Assembly, which is being held today.
CRITERIA
1-To meet the requirements set out in the Constitution, the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania and the requirements of the Statute of the Socialist Party (Articles 52-52)
2-To have political contribution and commitment and to have knowledge of the SP program and policies at the national and local level
3-Have higher education, possess outstanding professional and managerial skills
4-Enjoy a reputation and have broad support in the community, be active and committed to recognizing, pursuing and solving community problems
5-To have knowledge of the organization and functioning of local government, leadership, organizational and teamwork skills, and experience in managing human and material resources.
6-Have moral integrity and civic courage to fight corruption, abuse of power and violations of the law
