Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has reacted strongly on her social media regarding the project to build a 55-story tower behind the Palace of Congresses in the capital. Through a direct message, Tabaku explained that her stance is not related to any sense of nostalgia for the past, but to the protection of citizens' property.

"No nostalgia for old relics of communism. Only respect for public property and public wealth," the Democratic MP writes, emphasizing the management of these spaces by state institutions.

Tabaku has issued strong accusations against the Investment Corporation, stating that this institution is treating common properties as if they were private. She has raised serious questions about the lack of transparency in decision-making, listing other areas of the country where the same thing is happening.

"The investment corporation treats public property as if it were their own. Who are these people who make decisions without any transparent process? The same situation in Zvërnec, at the Vlora airport, in Durrës, etc. There is no transparent decision-making," Tabaku underlines.

According to the DP MP, this way of acting by the government, which concentrates wealth in the hands of a minority, is forcing citizens to take to the streets to demand their rights.

"This system brings people out into the streets to protest. The system that has concentrated wealth in the minority, the system that treats public property as private. There must be meritocracy in the economy as well," Jorida Tabaku concluded her reaction.
