The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, from the Parliament's rostrum, accused the government of only undertaking "anti-reforms" and called on citizens to join the protests against the majority.

Berisha stated that the opposition participated in the working groups for Electoral Reform and Territorial Reform with a single condition: that the processes be based on international expertise.

According to him, there are clear international practices that must be followed in such processes, while he accused the government of not respecting them.

At the end of his speech, Berisha called on citizens to participate in the protests organized in Tirana.
"With Edi Rama there is only anti-reform. In support of our efforts for a free and fair electoral process, we participated in the two groups set up for these fundamental reforms, Territorial and Electoral, with a single condition. For the electoral reform, the expertise of OHDIR should be taken and for the Territorial reform, the expertise of the regional conference. There has been a clear practice of depopulation. Therefore, I call on Albanians; stand up to protect your vital interests. An unprecedented civic protest for years is gathering in the square in Tirana. Join the protest," he said.
