The Criminal Court of Albania has today officially communicated the measure of "prison arrest" to Lulzim Berisha, who was extradited from Spain to Albania two days ago.
The former leader of the Durrës gang is accused of the murder of Klodian Salihu.
Lulzim Berisha was arrested in Spain on December 14, 2023 after being declared an internationally wanted person as a person of high social risk.
"As a result of the cooperation of FAST Albania with FAST Spain, thanks to information provided through police intelligence by the State Police and their timely exchanges with the Spanish Police structures, it became possible to capture the highly socially dangerous citizen Lulzim Berisha," the blue uniforms reported.
He has opposed his extradition to our country in the Spanish court on the grounds that his life is in danger, a request that has been rejected.
