The Special Court of Appeal upheld the seizure measure on a luxury villa in the White Rocks complex in Dhërmi, which, according to SPAK, has resulted from investigations to be the hidden assets of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

The seizure decision was opposed by Igli Tare, a former national team footballer, as he claims that it is his property, but the Appeals Court, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Miliana Muça, after reviewing the appeal, decided to leave the seizure measure in force.

SPAK says that, from the investigations, the villa was taken as a bribe from the company Eurocol, when Belinda Balluku headed Albcontrol and favored the company in question in a tender. Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, is a defendant in the tender for the construction of the Llogara tunnel and under investigation for corruption, money laundering and abuses with several other road tenders.

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of Judge Miliana Muça, today on 30.06.2026, announced the decision on criminal case no. 24 act, date 18.06.2026 registration, on the appeal of the appellant IT: “Appeal against decision No. 412, date 03.06.2026, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, regarding the assignment of the property insurance measure “preventive sequestration” for immovable property” and decided:
