Marash Kumbulla's future seems increasingly distant from Roma. The Albanian national team defender has returned to Trigoria after a loan spell in Spain, but is not part of coach Gian Piero Gasperini's plans for the new season.

According to Italian media, Roma are looking to sell the 26-year-old this summer, while three La Liga sides – Rayo Vallecano, Levante and Elche – have shown interest and have requested information on the terms of the transfer. So far, there have been no official offers, but the Spanish route remains the hottest.

Although Kumbulla continues to train with the team, he is considered outside the technical project and is expected to leave to allow the club to secure income for the transfer market. On the other hand, the defender himself has expressed his desire to stay in the Italian capital and convince Gasperini, but everything indicates that his adventure with the yellow and red jersey is coming to an end.
