Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a ceasefire agreement, on the condition that the Hezbollah group stops attacks on Israeli territory. The announcement of the agreement was made public by the US State Department (DASH).

According to initial reports, the ceasefire aims to reduce tensions on the border between the two countries and create conditions for the continuation of diplomatic dialogue. The agreement provides for the cessation of military actions, while its implementation is linked to the cessation of attacks by Hezbollah.

Diplomatic sources indicate that representatives of Israel and Lebanon will hold another meeting on June 22, where further steps to maintain the ceasefire and stability in the region are expected to be discussed.
