Citizens have begun organizing in Skanderbeg Square. The protest has entered its 99th day. Albanians are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
For 99 days, citizens have shown resilience and resistance, while expressing their determination that the revolt will not stop until the prime minister leaves.
On the eve of the start of the new parliamentary session, the protest is expected to take another form. An escalation of the action has been announced for September 8, while protesters have announced that they will greet the deputies with eggs, in a sign of revolt against the majority.
Organizers and participants declare that they have no intention of stopping the protest. According to them, the sit-in will continue until the demand for a change of government and the removal of the current cabinet is met.
