A protester from the Albanian Diaspora in New York gave a speech during the protest, expressing support for the citizens and calling for political change in Albania.
The protester also referred to Albanians who have left the country over the years, emphasizing that many of them have emigrated due to hardships and their beliefs.
He harshly criticized the political and institutional situation in the country, comparing the US financial system to what he described as the "corruption stock exchange" in Tirana, while accusing the government of links to corruption, organized crime, and drug trafficking.
In his speech, he also criticized the public administration, claiming that people who once did not attend school regularly today hold leadership positions.
"You are not alone. The American Diaspora will be here in your support. We will not allow this government to trample on us. Those who fled on dinghies, those who suffered and left this country because they did not want to sell their souls to the devil. There are Albanians for whom no amount of patronage would do. The USA has the stock exchange that controls the world's finances, but Tirana offers the stock exchange of corruption, organized crime and drug trafficking. I see those who did not come to school as directors in the administration. We want to come to Albania, but this is achieved by overthrowing the system, Rama and Berisha. The liberation of Albania from the Berisheist and Ramist system unites us", he said.
