TIRANA – Many citizens have gathered again in the 40th protest against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

During the rally in the square, protesters leveled accusations against the government and demanded political and legal accountability for issues that, according to them, are related to misgovernance and corruption.

One of the chants heard during the protest was “Arrest Balluk”, referring to former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

"Before I begin, I want to say that I bear moral and legal responsibility for the words I speak. First of all, seeing the great interest that the police, the party, the soufflé, the municipality have in knowing who is organizing the protest, I have decided to report myself, to put them out of their minds. The protest is financed and organized by a great man, who paid with his blood and that of his family 500 years ago. He is Gjergji, the son of Gjon, Gjergj Kastrioti. Let's move on to our troubles. When our biggest trouble is this palatial prime minister, who day after day is taking away what little face we have left before the world.

But most importantly, he is taking our souls and drinking our blood, without realizing it. This delirious, drug addict and unmanly, immoral, scoundrel and traitor, who has been in power for 30 years, mocking the people, this is more our fault. First of all, of those who voted for him, but more of those who have remained silent in the face of every injustice that has been done to him. The time has come to tell him what he deserves and to part ways with him. He does not deserve and does not have the honor to walk alongside us, much less represent us. The time has come to stand up for our homeland, for our family.

We cannot leave our hands in his hands. This failed painter should not be allowed for a single second to blacken the face of the Albania of Gjergj, Ismail Qemali, the Frashëri brothers, Adem Jashari, Isa Boletini and many, many others who have given their lives for Albanianness. There should be no agreement with him, no one should sit with him. Whoever will dare, in the name of the people and even more so to make an agreement with him, will face the anger of the people.
