The tragedy that occurred in Durrës on Sunday, where an accident took the lives of two minor children and injured another, shocked not only the community there, but the entire public opinion.
In an interview on the show "With an Open Heart" by moderator and author Evis Ahmeti, the father of the injured 8-year-old spoke about the situation. In a very emotional state, he said that the child suffered injuries from the collision.
During the interview, he revealed that another child was playing with them when the accident occurred, but fortunately he survived because he was on the side of the bicycle.
"I took the boy and left for Tirana because the Durrës hospital sent me to Tirana. The boy was communicating, but he was looking for his friends... while the fourth child was not hit by the car, he survived, he was on the side of the bike... they took the boy out of the intensive care unit and put him in a room by himself... He is very serious. He only asked about his cousin, was he killed like me... I showed him a photo of the person they had arrested, he remembered it. That's all he remembered. He suffered damage to his pelvis, which has a fracture, and to his leg. They also put a spear in him, he also has damage to his lungs... He didn't remember anything, he just said that the car was very fast... The gentleman's sister is next to the boy now", he said.
