The cause of death of actor Bobby J. Brown, best known for his role in the TV series “The Wire,” has been released, months after he died in a barn fire. The 62-year-old’s death was caused by multiple thermal injuries and smoke inhalation, according to the Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office, and the incident is being classified as an accident. Brown passed away on February 24.

His daughter, Reyna, said she learned the tragic news through a phone call during the night from her younger sister. She said she couldn't believe what had happened at first and went barefoot outside the house to make sure it wasn't a nightmare, but reality.

According to her, as the flames spread, Bobby J. Brown had asked a relative to bring him a fire extinguisher in an attempt to contain the fire, while the family continues to grieve his loss.

"My father was a wonderful man and very much loved by the community. He will be missed by many people," Reyna said.

The actor's agent, Albert Bramante, also paid tribute to his memory, describing Brown as "an actor of extraordinary talent and even greater integrity." He added that the dedication and passion he showed in his work were an inspiration to all who worked with him.
